Pine Avenue, Lahore: The Road Everyone Keeps Calling a Society
If you search property portals for "Pine Avenue," you will find plots, townhouses and commercial files listed under a society that does not exist. Pine Avenue is not a housing society at all. It is a road, one of the longest new corridors in southern Lahore, and in October 2026 the Lahore Development Authority announced it wants the whole stretch given commercial status by the end of the year. That announcement is why the name keeps appearing in your searches. It is also why dealers have started filing half the corridor's inventory under it, which means buyers need to read every "Pine Avenue" card twice.
The short version
Pine Avenue is a road corridor, not a place you can buy a plot in directly. The name on a listing usually means the property sits in or near a scheme along the road, most often Etihad Town. In late October 2026, LDA said it would commercialise Pine Avenue and revise the area's DC rates, with the work to be completed by year end. None of that has finished yet, so treat "commercial corridor" as a plan in motion, not a done deal.

Where the road actually runs
The original Pine Avenue ran from the Valencia Chowk roundabout to the Lahore Ring Road interchange, passing DHA Rahbar. Since then it has grown in both directions. About 1.25 km was added from Qadir Tobash Chowk to Valencia Chowk. A structure-plan extension now connects Ayub Chowk in Johar Town to Qadir Tobash Chowk. And the big one runs from the Ring Road interchange near Lake City all the way to Ferozepur Road through LDA City, which is the renamed and upgraded Neelum Road, a roughly 8 km, 150-ft structure-plan road whose groundbreaking was performed by CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Dawn reported that these extensions added around 25 km to the original road.
On width, one caution. Dealer marketing sometimes prints "155 ft." The figure that traces back to the structure plan and press coverage is 150 ft, so that is the number used in this guide.
What LDA announced in October 2026
On 23 October 2026, Dawn reported that LDA plans to grant Pine Avenue commercial status, and that revision of the area's DC rates has already begun. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq said the authority would "accomplish this work" by the end of the year. Figures from a Q1-2026 proposal put the scale at 279 kanals already commercialised and 4,472 kanals still to be commercialised, with a projected Rs 134 billion in commercialisation fees over five years. Eligibility, in that proposal, covers properties with 200 ft of depth from the road. The framing from officials was revenue capture: a senior Punjab official had ordered LDA to commercialise rather than penalise illegally built structures along the corridor.
Two things matter about that Rs 134 billion figure. It is a projection of fee revenue to the authority over five years, not a forecast of how much property values will rise. Anyone quoting it as an appreciation prediction is misreading the story.

FGEHA and Smart City Housing Lahore signed an MoU on 28 October 2026 for a 750-kanal residential project on Multan Road. Here is what the announcement covers, what it leaves out, and why buyers should not pay any booking amount until FGEHA formally launches the project.
Lahore Smart City listings quote three different prices for the same plot: developer plan totals, old-tranche bookings and resale. Here is what each number means, from figures re-verified on 1 November 2026.
